No experience needed. Our self-guided kayak tours are beginner-friendly, with a full safety briefing and easy-to-follow start-up guidance before you set off.
Where does the kayak experience take place?
The 2.5-hour self-guided paddle takes you along the freshwater Pioneer River in Mirani, just a short drive from Mackay. It’s calm, scenic, and perfect for spotting local wildlife.
What’s included in the experience?
You’ll get your kayak, paddles, life jackets, and a beach relaxation setup with chairs, an umbrella, and a small esky. You can also add a gourmet hamper for the ultimate picnic-on-the-water experience.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Yes! You’re welcome to BYO drinks, and we’ll provide a small esky to keep them cool. If you’d like, you can upgrade to include our gourmet hamper filled with fresh local goodies.
How fit do I need to be?
